Free anti-dumping resources

What’s the catch with free access?

Why is the service free….what’s the catch? There is no catch. There really is such a thing as a free lunch! Obviously, I hope that some users who do not subscribe today may become subscribers in the future. However, a regular user of the free AD resources who never becomes a subscriber is still very welcome to the site. For many years I have answered questions from researchers and students looking for information on anti-dumping. I remember what is like being a student and I am always keen to help if I can. It gives me satisfaction if this website can help to fill an information gap for researchers and students.

How often is the free section of the site updated?

The free content will be regularly updated, usually at least on a weekly basis.

This will include:

  • Links will be periodically checked to ensure that they work. New links will be added as soon as we learn about them. Please let us know if you find links that are not working or if you find links that could be added to the site.
  • News will be updated at least once a week.
  • New AD experts will be added as appropriate. Please let us know if you would like to be added to the list.
  • A monthly newsletter will provide news and commentary on major global anti-dumping issues.
  • New guides and articles will be added to the free section from time to time.
  • Statistics will be periodically updated to reflect updates in statistics provided by the WTO and by major AD adminisrations such as the EU and US.

Are there restrictions on my use of the site?

You are free to use the site as you wish, subject to copyright and other terms and conditions.

How do I subscribe to the newsletter and other updates (e.g. GTP)?

All free publications are available either by free subscription or through visiting the site.
The free subscription service will be available to receive the monthly newsletter and other free updates from antidumpingpublishing.com (including the Global Trade Protection Report). Just send an email to Cliff Stevenson at email address cs@antidumpingpublishing.com to be added to the distribution list.

Do you still produce the GTP?

Yes. Moreover, it is not part of the premium content and is still available free of charge!

Terms and conditions for using the free content

Premium Content (back to top)

What will the premium section of the site contain?

See the About us section for a description of the premium content.

When will the premium content be available?

The premium content will be available from Thursday 1 February 2007.

How will I be able to access the premium content?

Premium content will be available by subscription or one-off purchase basis. Access to premium content will be by user name and password only. You will also be asked to give your name. This assists in monitoring the usage of single and multiple license holders.

Subscription will give access to all premium content for the period of the subscription. Subscriptions will be available either per quarter (3 months) or annually (12 months).

It will be possible to purchase individual articles or dispute case notes on a one-off basis. The article may be viewed or printed off at any time once purchase has been made for a period of at least 12 months.

Will premium publications be available in print?

It is expected that the Global Anti-Dumping Manual will be available in hard copy around the same time as the launch of the premium section of the site (February 2007).

It will also be possible to purchase print copies of individual articles or casenotes from the premium section. More information will be available when this part of the site goes live in February 2007.

How often will premium content be updated?

For the premium content, the objective of this initiative is to create a dynamic resource that will always be up to date. The Global Anti-Dumping Manual and the other main premium information provided by the site will never more than one month out of date. They will be regularly updated to reflect new interpretations as new Panel/Appellate Body rulings are published. Usually, updates will occur very regularly and the site will often be updated within days, or even hours, of real time events in the anti-dumping world.

How will premium items be identified?

Premium items will be shown gold (as opposed to blue or silver for free items).

What will be the cost of subscribing to the premium content?

The price of access to the premium content will be finalised when the service goes live in February 2007. However, provisionally, it is expected that prices will be as follows;

Annual subscription GBP 895
Quarterly subscription GBP 295

Individual article GB50
Individual WTO AD dispute filenote GB25

All prices are shown in GB pound sterling (GBP). VAT will be added to these prices if applicable.

What form of payment will be accepted?

The site will contain the latest technology in terms of e-commerce/subscription facilities.

It will be possible to pay for access to the premium content either by credit card for instant access or by the more traditional invoice and bank transfer/bankers draft method.

Payment by Visa, Mastercard or American Express will allow instant access through the immediate provision of a username and password.

Technology (back to top)

What is the format of documents on the site?

Many documents in the site are in pdf format. Security features have not been added to these documents. For premium content, we want subscribers to have continuous access to the information they have paid for. Whether you are on your home computer, work computer or a computer in a hotel when on business travel, as long as you have internet access (and your log on details for the premium content), you will have your normal access to the site. This includes complete freedom to print out content for your own use (within the terms of your licence).

Where can I get PDF reader?

A free pdf reader can be downloaded from the following link.

Who hosts the site?

The site is hosted and maintained by Zarr Internet Services (http://www.zarr.com)

Is the site available 24 hours a day

The site is normally available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Exceptions to this may include suspension of the service for maintenance by the website host. However, the host will try to ensure that such suspensions are minimised and occur outside normal business hours, although this may not always be possible.

In the unlikely event of server hardware failure, within 1 working day, the site will be restored and up and working on another server. The website host guarantees an uptime availability of 99.7%
