09 Jan 12 US - new AD and CVD petitions received on washers, garment hangers and wind towers
    Anti-dumping and countervailing duty petitions have been submitted to the US Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission concerning imports of large residential washers from Korea and Mexico, steel wire garment hangers from Taiwan and Vietnam, and wind towers from China and Vietnam.  ITC investigations page

09 Jan 12 Canada initates interim review on innerspring mattresses
    The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has initiated an interim review of dumping measures on mattress innerspring units from China.  The review will consider whether the measures should be rescinded on the basis that there is no longer any domestic production of mattress innerspring units sold in the Canadian merchant  market.  Notice

09 Jan 12 Canada initiates AD and CVD investigations on potassium silicate solids
    The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated investigations on January 6, 2012, under the Special Import Measures Act, respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of potassium silicate (also known as silicic acid, potassium salt; potassium water glass; potash water glass; potassium silicate glass), of all grades and ratios in a soluble solid including chunks, flakes or powder forms, originating in or exported from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The investigations follow a complaint filed by National Silicates Partnership of Etobicoke, Ontario.  Notice

09 Jan 12 Argentina - definitive AD duties on suits, outfits and jackets
    The Government of Argentina has published Resolution 349/2011, dated on August 12, 2011, closing an anti-dumping investigation on imports of suits (two or three pieces suits) outfits and jackets (coats) finished or in progress, for men and children, excluding knitwear and outfits used in medicine from the People’s Republic of China (N.C.M. 6203.11.00, 6203.12.00, 6203.19.00, 6203.22.00, 6203.23.00, 6203.29.10, 6203.29.90, 6203.31.00, 6203.32.00, 6203.33.00 and 6203.39.00). The opening of the investigation had been requested by Argentinean Industrial Camera of Clothing, and the dumping margin was calculated to be 553,32%. The investigated product was found to be commercialized at a price 80% lower in some cases than the price of the similar national product. The Government applied a final anti-dumping right FOB of US$ 81.50 per unit.
